Question

How to create email (from Gravity Forms), skip any unanswered fields?

Hi- apologies if I’m not using the correct terminology, but I’m trying to customize my  Gravity Forms > Zapier Email zap so that it only contains form data that was filled out by the user.

For example, if the user is requesting an appointment for themselves (not a child), I don’t want the email to include blank fields.

I’m not sure how to accomplish this. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you asking to have different email templates depending on the answer to the question: “Is this appointment for you?”

If yes, then you can configure 2 different Zaps from the same trigger with Filter logic (Yes vs No) and unique email templates.

Otherwise, when you map dynamic data points to the email template used in the Zap, those would populate with blank values if conditionally skipped when filling out the form.

Thanks Troy- I’d like for the email template to not display the question (if not answered).

In that case, you’d have to have 2 separate email templates.

This can be accomplished with 2 separate Zaps using Filters OR 1 Zap using Paths (aka Filters).
