When I use the Zap “Sync ActiveCampaign tag additions with Pipedrive contact activities”, I can’t seem to get anything to happen. When I click the “Test” button it appears to work, but then if I go into any contact in AC that also exists in PD, and I add that tag to the AC contact, nothing happens in PipeDrive.

The same goes for when I try to create this task from scratch.

Trigger: When a new tag “Zap1” is added to a contact in ActiveCampaign, I want to instantly add an Activity to Call that same contact in PipeDrive (and yes the contact is already in PD). 

Tag added in ActiveCampaign; Create activity in PipeDrive.  

How do I make this work?

For us to have more info, post screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode.

This is the Zap that Zapier said I should use with the information I filled in. When I click the Test, that works for that one record, but then when I add a tag to another contact in AC, nothing happens:

The screenshots you provided are in VIEW mode.

To make the Zap dynamic, the Person fields expects a variable with a value of the Pipedrive Person ID.

Add this Zap action: Pipedrive - Find Person

Thanks Troy, I added the find a person step and still no luck. Here are screenshots the correct way you requested in Edit mode. Still not sure what I’m missing.

Use the ...] button at the right to switch to Custom in order to set a dynamic variable from a previous Zap step.

Map the ID variable from Step 2.

When I do that, it asks for “Term”. Is this how it’s supposed to be mapped, with Field to Search By and Term the same field?

I truly appreciate your help, but I feel like I’m missing something still.

For “Field to Search By“, you should select the desired field from the STATIC list. (e.g. select the Email field option)

For Term, that would be the value you want to search for in the “Field to Search By”, which you have correctly mapped a dynamic variable for an email value.

Configure the Zap steps like this…

 

Zap action: Pipedrive - Find Person

Field to Search By: Email (selected from the static list of options)

Email: map the variable from Zap step 1 that has the email address

 

Zap action: Pipedrive - Create Activity

Map the ID of the Person record found from Step 2
