I am new to Zapier and need a step by step on guide how to Create a “Zap” that will be triggered every day to send an email to a specific gmail account.  The subject lines need to change depending upon the day

I then need to share the emails with a specific gmail account as well as add a shareable link of the Zap in the body of the emails

Hi @JLewDSA

Check out the Zapier Basics guides: https://zapier.com/help/create/basics

Thanks Troy.  I already tried the self-help docs and was not able to set up which is what prompted the post.  Sadly,  I am not even remotely confident of what I have done thus far.  I do not know how to make sure the subject line changes with the day of the week.  I am thinking it must be something like an Word/Outlook mail merge thing where you have a spreadsheet with the Day of the week and the corresponding greeting but I really am having trouble navigating.

Hi @JLewDSA!

If you’re using a Schedule by Zapier trigger, you’ll get everything you need in there :)

I’m not 100% sure what you mean when you say “The subject lines need to change depending upon the day” but here are some options:

1. You can use something directly from the trigger data:

2. Or, if the trigger can give you something to look up, you can use Formatter’s Lookup Table (or, as an alternative, use Google Sheets).

Then you’d map the output of your Lookup Table step into the Gmail step. Hope that helps you get unstuck a bit!
