Question

How to create a zap that triggers when a cart is abandoned on Square?

I am trying to trigger an abandonment cart funnel for carts abandoned in my Square store. Currently there is an issue with the Square app connecting to Mailchimp for any product purchases or customer behaviors. I have a automation funnel set up, and I see there have been abandoned carts in my analytics, but it’s not triggering my journey. The workaround I have created previously was to set up a zap to tag when there is a customer activity, like a purchase made on Square. Then set up the journey to trigger with the tag rather than a direct purchase.

I wanted to use this same strategy to trigger the abandoned cart journey, but I don’t see an option for abandoned carts with the square / zapier integration.

Is it possible to set up an abandoned cart trigger? What are the steps to set this up because currently the only triggers that seem to be available are New Appointment, New Catalog, New Customer, New Invoice, New Order, and New Payment.

Thank you!

Hi @MJBBLSkincare

There is no available Square Zap app integration trigger for abandoned cart.

https://zapier.com/apps/square/integrations#triggers-and-actions

There does not appear to be an available Square Webhook Event for abandoned cart either.
