How to create a time tracking request between Bexio and Google Sheets?
Hello,
I'd like to create a "Create Time Tracking" request between Bexio and a Google Sheet.
I've run several tests, and I need to be able to enter our company's contact person. I can enter the client's contact person using the "Company or Person" or "Company Contact Person" field.
The contact person field is pre-filled and populates automatically.
Do you have any leads/suggestions?

Hi @DAM, If a field for an action is pre-populated I think it’s Zapier’s best guess on which of the datapills from previously generated steps belong there. You should be able to delete and replace what’s there. Please provide a screenshot to confirm but I don’t think it’s a hard-coded pre-populated value that’s uneditable.

Just wanted to check how you’re getting on—were you able to get this sorted?
If not, and you want the Zap to dynamically select the Company or Person based on a value that’s sent over from Google Sheets, I’d suggest the following:
Add either a Find Person or Find Company (Bexio) search action to find the relevant person/company and get their ID.
Then on the Create Time Tracking action, in the Company or Person field you’d choose the Custom value option and select the ID for the person that’s output by the Find Person or Find Company action.
That should ensure that whenever the Zap runs the Company or Person field will have the correct company/person selected. Then if the Company Contact Person field is automatically pre-filled based on what’s selected in the Company or Person field it should be dynamically updated as well.
This approach assumes that it’s either always going to be a company or always going to be a person that needs to be searched for. If it could be either then you might want to think about using Paths Paths to run different actions based on whether is a company or a person that needs to be searched for.

I did several tests, but it was impossible to enter the data of the worker who performed the task.
In the zapier screen shot, I don’t found the data in “Contact ID” or “Sub contact ID”. I need to fill this value with the value of the column I in the Excel Sheet.
But I found those values in the data out.
I use the free license, is that what limits?

I need to export the 'user ID' in Bexio and not Contact ID” or “Sub contact ID. Sorry.
It sounds like Bexio is auto-filling the “Company Contact Person” field by default. To manually set your internal contact person, we can try using a custom field in Bexio or map the contact using their API if it's supported. I can help set up the Google Sheets → Bexio flow to ensure the correct contact person is assigned in each time tracking entry.
