How to Create a Custom Zapier Step for Filtering Slack Messages with a Specific Emoji

Hi everyone,

I'm setting up a Zap in Zapier and need help with a specific function. I want to filter Slack messages in a particular channel that contain a specific emoji (e.g., ✅). The available options in Zapier seem to only notify when an emoji is added to a message, but I need something different.

What I need:

  • A Zap that can search through all Slack messages in a given channel.
  • Filter and identify messages that already contain a specified emoji.
  • Notify me of these messages.

Try adding a Filter as Step 2 in the Zap: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help
