Hey everyone, I own a small marketing agency, and I’m needing some help regarding the Quickbooks Zap (or any other potential candidates). We use Zapier for some of our existing automations, but I'm having trouble finding a way to automatically create projects in QuickBooks whenever we onboard a new client. Having to do it manually takes time and we’d like to automate as much as possible. I’d like to streamline this process by setting up a Zap. Has anyone done this, or have suggestions on how to make it work?

There is no QBO Zap app action related to Projects: https://zapier.com/apps/quickbooks/integrations#triggers-and-actions

You’d have to explore using the QBO API for projects (if supported): https://developer.intuit.com/app/developer/qbo/docs/develop

 


I’m an event planner and I have a very similar problem. I’d love to be able to create new projects automatically when new events are confirmed. Just posting here so I’m in the loop if anyone finds a solution!


Hey @Jake Hall, @Oliva Ponce, I needed the same thing for my automation. I spent quite a while looking for a solution. It seems to be something that quickbooks has deemed not important, even though there are many posts asking for it!!

 

I found a tool that lets you do this, they even have a zap so you’re able to use it in zapier. I was a little bit skeptical on it working at first, but it turned out to be really helpful. Check out https://www.clickr.cloud, based on what you need to do, you should be able to set it up fairly easily.
