Hey everyone 👋
I’m trying to figure out the best way to set this up in Zapier:
I’m using Asana as a CRM, and I’ve got a ticketing system inside Asana with a form that clients use to submit requests.

Here’s what happens:

When a client submits the form, a new task is created in the Ticketing Project.

These are returning clients, and each one has their own individual project in Asana.

What I want to do is whenever a client submits a ticket, that same task should also be added (or mirrored) into their client-specific project. Basically, a multi-home setup triggered automatically via Zapier.
The catch: I’d like Zapier to find the correct client project by searching using either their email, name, or business name.

So my question is:
How would you structure this in Zapier using only Asana + Zapier (no external database)?
Would you rely on paths, lookups, or something else to handle the client-matching logic?
Thanks in advance for any tips! 🙏

Hey @Mj Malu,

I think lookup table might be a good way to set up your Zap. You can do that either using Google Sheets or Zapier Tables. You can use Zapier Tables if you want to keep everything in Zapier. Here is a helpful article about creating Lookup tables in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496305146765-Create-lookup-tables-in-Zaps. Hope it helps!
