How to add a Google Sheet row to another custom sheet whose url is included in a column

Hi there,

I’m trying to set up a Zap that will accomplish the following:

  • A Google form response is submitted, which creates a new row in a spreadsheet
  • One of the columns of this spreadsheet has a url to another Google sheet
  • I want to add the row that was created in the first sheet to the specific Google sheet with the url indicated in the first sheet’s column

I’ve tried using the “custom” option and selecting that column of the spreadsheet as the sheet to send the action to, but I receive a 404 error message.

Can anyone help with this?

Hi @emilycorrigan!

The article that Troy has linked to above explains how to use a custom value as the Spreadsheet when working with Google Sheets, that should get you to where you need to be. Let us know if that works for you! 😄
