Because the field isn’t a default field, I can’t seem to select it in the path. Can anyone assist?

When you get the contact information in the Zap editor, can you see the custom field there? eg if the Zap trigger is New Contact, does the trigger test bring in the custom fields? If it doesn’t, could you try creating a sample contact and add information in all of the custom fields (so there’s non empty fields) and then re-test the trigger to pull in that contact and see if that pulls in all the fields that you need.
