Hi. I am setting up an integration from Thinkific to smartsheet.

I have already set up the trigger to create a new row in Smartsheet when a new student registers.

Now I want to automatically update that row when the student enrols on a Free Preview; effectively I need to update an existing row by adding in the course they have enrolled on. This will be done using the student’s unique ID created by Thinkific, which has a specific column in smartsheet.

The first 3 steps are complete in the screen shot below. But my dropdown menu does not have the Lookup Spreadsheet Row option n the standard event list.

  • Click the plus + icon to add an action step.
  • Search for and select Google Sheets.
  • Connect or select to your Google Sheet account.
  • Click the Event dropdown menu and select Lookup Spreadsheet Row.

The option for ‘new row update’ is there, but it won’t work if I haven’t set where the row ID can be found.

Help please.

Hi @Coachbase Training

Try these Zap action steps:

  • Smartsheet - Find Sheet Row
  • Smartsheet - New Row Update

Hi @Coachbase Training 👋

How did you get on with the Find sheet Row and New Row Update Smartsheet actions that Troy suggested? I want to make sure everything’s on track with this so please let us know whether you need any additional guidance at all.

Looking forward to hearing from you! 🙂
