Greetings,

I am interested in translating a live zoom meeting with Zapier translation of Google translate. So far I have not figured out how to make this work.

Any ideas?

Hi @Doc Marcum

Good question.

Google Translate is not an available Zap app.

You’d have to look into using other translation/transcription apps: https://zapier.com/apps/categories/transcription

Thanks for the response, Troy. I understood that zappier had its own translating app. I will take a look at the link you sent

Yep…the app is called “Translate by Zapier.”

@Doc Marcum

Are you trying to translate a Zoom video recording?

If so, then Translate by Zapier won’t work as that expects text input. (not video input)

Hi @Doc Marcum

Just making a follow-up. Were you trying to translate a Zoom video recording or the chat for that meeting? In that way, we can point you in the right direction.

Thanks Tom,

on zoom I can have the closed captions write what the speaker is saying in the meeting. I thought that zapper translate might be able to translate that as those come across the bottom. Perhaps the technology is not there yet.

My apologies….Troy and Brem

Hi @Doc Marcum

If you use the Zap trigger for Zoom - New Recording, it looks like it will include the link to the download the Transcription.

Once you download the file you’ll need to be able to get the file contents in order to use a translation app in the Zap.
