Question

How do I transfer data from color-coded stickies on Mural Board to specific cells in Google Sheets using Zapier?

Hi. I aim to transfer the data from a new sticky with two different colors in a certain position in a mural to a specific column and row spreadsheet. How do I do this on Zappier? I know I need to create a pathway with an if statement based on the color of the sticky. Is it possible for Zappier to transfer the text from a stick note to a specific column and row based on the color and the location of where it is sorted on the Mural Board attached? I would also like to transfer the text on the sticky notes to the sheets. Please walk me through the steps. Thank you.

Hi @Board12 👋

Did you manage to get this sorted?

If not, as Troy higlighted, you’d need to alter the set up of that Google Sheets spreadsheet in order for a Zap to be able to send data to it. The New Sticky trigger should be able to provide the text, backgroundColor and give the X and Y co-ordinates for it. From there you could use Paths by Zapier to determine the location and colour. Then have Google Sheets actions in each path to add the Sticky text into a different column and row as needed.

Keen to ensure you’re all set here so please keep us updated on how you’re getting on with this!
