Question

How do I sync deadline due dates with my Microsoft Outlook calendar?

Hope someone can help me. I’m trying to sync the deadline due dates generated from Filevine’s Deadline Chain to Microsoft Outlook.

This Zap won’t do the work.

@butter123

The trigger is set to fire when the Deadline Chain is Created.

Have you created a test record to see if it fires?

This trigger will not collect all the events already set.

You may need to answer yes to load additional data. This may then include the Deadline Chain Due Date.

Setting them is Outlook isn’t that difficult once you have the data. The datetime object should fit directly in to the configuration for Outlook and the ISO format is generally easiest to use.

To show you I created a start and end datetime for an meeting in a code block and then passed them to the Outlook step.

Which created this event in Outlook.

You should move to the next step and see what data is received by the test case.

I hope this helps.

@Badger Thanks for the help. I can now see the deadline names and due date. I wanted every stage of the deadline (with the corresponding due dates) to be added as events in the Outlook Calendar. How do I create multiple events from the deadline chains?

@butter123

You should now be able to loop through the chains now. Try a Looping by Zapier you can find information here https://zapier.com/apps/looping/integrations

Hope it helps.
