Google Sheet to Notion integration

I’d like to set up this basics integration between Sheets - Notion and Zapier.

The goal: once I set the cell to Published I’d want Zapier to take the Row and upload it to a Notion sheet.

This is to track creatives because we will have some iterations and notes, but having this set will create a better flow.

Here is a Loom for easier understanding:

Hi @stephenszara

Review the available Zap triggers/actions for each app:

You’ll want to add a Filter as Step 2: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help

Help link for how GSheets need to be configured to work in Zaps: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496276985101-Work-with-Google-Sheets-in-Zaps

Thanks a lot Troy! So it seems doable, right? Just need a filter + formatting

@stephenszara

When in doubt, test it out.

I will do it now. What do you think though? As an expert

Hi @stephenszara 👋

Did you manage to get it set up?

If not, I’d suggest the using following trigger and actions in a Zap:

  • Trigger: New or Updated Row (Google Sheets) - Here you’d set the Trigger Column to be Ad live (Column F).
  • Action: Only continue if... (Filter by Zapier) - set to only continue if the value in the Ad live field (Text) Contains the word Published. This step is needed as the trigger would also run when a new row is first added to the Google Sheet. You can learn more about filters here: Add conditions to Zaps with filters
  • Action: Create Database Item (Notion) - here you’d map the necessary fields from the Google Sheets trigger to “copy” the values from the spreadsheet row that triggered the Zap over to the relevant Notion fields to be used when creating the new item in Notion.

That should ensure that whenever a row is marked as “Published” in Google Sheets it’s details are copied over to Notion. Want to give that a try and let us know how you get on?

Looking forward to hearing from you on this!
