Hello

I used Zapier when I first launched my business with some help from an IT consultant but no longer use Zapier or the IT consultant so am trying to figure out myself how to add a new zapier.

This is what I want it to do and I wonder if someone can tell me how I create this in terms of the steps.

I have a sales agent called, let’s say his email is richard@blahblah.co.uk who e-mails a lead or prospective customer via outlook 365, let’s say their name is john.bishop@agado.co.uk. Richard my sales agent copies me in so that we can update our CRM. Rather than do this manually each time we want it to be automated with a zapier.

So the email goes into my inbox. I want our CRM which is spotler to pull through the name in the to: field and put it into our CRM as a new contact name and the email address and save this record.

Agado as New Account and Lead Source drop down chosen as ‘RD Prospect Lead’. Then account created date as the day the email was received. We then want a new contact added to that account with the name of the person before the @ sign (remove the dot if there is one, so in this case John Bishop) then add the email address to the record and save this.

Hi @D_77_SmileBox,

To set up a Zap in Zapier, choose ‘Microsoft Outlook 365’ as the app and ‘New email’ as the trigger event, then connect your Microsoft Outlook 365 account. Next, select ‘Spotler UK’ as the app and ‘Create Contact’ as the action event, and connect your Spotler UK account. Map the email data to create a new contact in Spotler, using the ‘To’ field for ‘Contact Name’ and ‘email,’ and set additional fields like ‘Account Name’ and ‘Lead Source.’ Use Zapier’s ‘Formatter’ to extract and format the contact name. Finally, test your Zap and ensure you have enough task capacity for your email volume.

Let us know if this jump-starts your Zap.
