When I close a job in our CRM I’m having it send the client info to google sheets. Then I want gmail to shoot out a email in 6 months to follow up with the client and stay top of mind. I see delay is only good for one month. I thought I could use the action “schedule” but it’s greyed out and looks like I can’t use it ?

How do I delay this or schedule it for 6 months in the future ?

Thanks.

Hi @Wiring Byron

Good question.

I’d recommend using Airtable instead of GSheets: https://zapier.com/apps/airtable/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Airtable has Views.

Views have Filters (e.g. Date = Today)

Views can be used to trigger Zaps.

Airtable also has internal Automation capabilities that can send emails.

Ok, thanks a lot I will check that out. I’ve heard of Airtable.

Cheers.

Troy, question for you. Could I use Asana just like your suggesting Airtable?

Thanks.

Hey there, @Wiring Byron! Thanks for reaching out.

Asana is great project management tool but functionality is very different from Airtable. While I’m not sure if this exact workflow is possible, here’s an article Asana published on a similar topic:

Keep us posted on your progress for this!

Thanks a lot, I've actually gone down a deep air table rabbit hole so I think I’ve figured this out now ha ha.

Oh man - the Airtable blackhole is real. ⚫️

So glad you were able to get this sorted! If you’re open to sharing any details, we’d love to hear em! 🤗

I actually just followed Troy’s advise above. But now I’m addicted to Airtable! lol Thanks Troy!
