How do I take automated email/ leads I was forwarded from our website partner and send a personalized text message with the information they shared plus my Calendly link? Can this be done with my personal number? I don’t want them to know the initial text is automated. I want them to be able to text back.

Example Email :

  • Name:
    Phone Number:
    Email:
    Timeline:
    XXX

Example text :

Hi, my name is ... and I work for ....  We are the ... We show that you recently inquired about ...  Are you looking to ...? If so, here is my contact card. Feel free to text me any questions you have or you can schedule a call to discuss further.

(this could be a script or I could have ChatGPT personalize it)

Next add contacted prospects to google sheets and CRM

Great question @ctravis! 🙂

The SMS by Zapier app should allow you to connect your personal number to send personalised text messages from. And the ChatGPT app could be used to created a more personalised message.

If you’ve not worked with SMS by Zapier before you can find out more about how to set it up here: How to Get Started with SMS

That said only US and UK numbers are currently supported so depending on where you’re based that might not be a great fit. There are a number of other phone and SMS related apps that could also allow you to send out text messages using your own number. You can review them here: Phone & SMS Apps

You’d want to use Google Sheet’s Create Spreadsheet Row action to get the contacted prospects details added to the spreadsheet. Not sure what CRM you’re using but most of our CRM related apps have a “Create Contact” or “Create Prospect” type of action that you could use.

Hope that helps. Keen to know how you get on with this so please do keep us in the loop!

I highly recommend using OpenPhone for sending your texts. Very simple to set up and so easy to continue the conversation with the client.

And yes, I think ChatGPT could be helpful for composing your message. I would feed it something like the following prompt (of course, revise for your particular industry and test a few times to ensure it’s not spewing nonsense before trusting it with your clients:

Imagine you are a home renovation specialist. Use the following lead information to fill in {{double_brackets}} in the text message below. Be sure to only return the message itself, not any additional commentary:
