I am a real estate agent and trying to route leads based on the URL the lead registered on, which is included in the contact form data.

I’m trying to do this by using Paths then Custom Rules and setting up multiple “or” rules. I tried using “Text (Contains)” and “Text (Is In)” and then selecting the URL.  I’ve tried entering the city name which shows up in the URL and even tried copying specific URLs and entering them as the text but I can not seem to get this working.

Has anyone routed leads based on the URL they registered on or have any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Hi @LawDog

For us to have more info, post screenshots with how your Zap steps Path Filter conditions are configured in EDIT mode.

Hi @LawDog 👋

I just spotted that you also reached out to our Support team on this and they identified that the issue was caused by a difference between the name of the fields in the test records and the name of the fields when the Zap runs live.

I don’t know whether you’ve has a chance to review their email yet and implement the suggested changes but thought I’d share part of their response here in case it’s useful to others in the Community that are having similar issues:

“I reviewed the Lead Routing Zap and see from the latest runs that none of them are continuing down a path as expected. It appears that this is because the Zap is looking for a Meta Page URL field, however, the webhook trigger is sending a Page URL field (not including "Meta") instead, which means that the fields do not match.

To resolve this issue, load new test data in your Zap trigger: https://zapier.com/help/create/basics/change-the-test-data-in-your-zap-trigger

Select the most recent record, and then map the affected fields in your action step(s) again, including the page URLs in your Paths.

You can read more about how to fix this here: https://zapier.com/help/troubleshoot/behavior/zap-trigger-isnt-sending-data

Once that is done, I would expect new runs to complete as hoped, and previous runs could be replayed in full. You can learn more about how to Replay Zap runs here: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496241726989-Replay-Zap-runs#h_01HPFJ7K8PAG1KRXND2G5PEWWD

Hope that helps. If you’ve given the above a try and are still running into issues feel free to continue your existing conversation with our Support team over email, or reach out here and we’ll be happy to help! 🙂
