I did find this old forum post: 

 

We need to receive SQS messages from a queue in us-east-2. Is there a technical reason why that region is not available? I could not find anything about this in documentation and this presents a significant issue for a planned system.

The us-east-2 region seems to be available for SNS integrations so what’s the difference?
