How do I receive notifications for Zaps in delayed/waiting status?

Hi team,

Is it possible to send an “error” notification if a Zap is delayed / waiting status? I have found 1-2 zaps to be in “delayed / waiting” status for no discernible reason, and often it stays stuck in this stage.

Note: There is no delay built into my Zap.

Thank you!

Hi @elizabethfreewill, and @LFGandrew,

I’m jumping in to see if I can help!

Currently, the Zapier Manager app doesn’t support the Waiting / Delayed trigger. However, we do have an existing feature request for this exact functionality.

I have added your votes to the feature request. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track interest in this feature being implemented
  • Allows us to notify you via email if this feature becomes available in the future

While I don't have an ETA on when this feature might be implemented, we will notify you via email if it is!

Hopefully, this helps!

Thank you, Troy! I do not see an option for a “delayed” Zap, only a halted, new, or errored Zap. What am I missing?

Example is here above!

There are other settings at the Zap level that you can adjust too.

Try one of these Zap actions:

So this is very helpful. Currently, there is no option for a Waiting / Delayed status. Which trigger would you use?

Probably best to configure both to make sure you cover your the Zap Run issues.

Stopped

A stopped status indicates that the Zap had an issue that prevented it from running. Stopped statuses are subdivided into:

  • Errored: the Zap encountered an error while running. If a Zap errors repeatedly each time it runs, Zapier will automatically turn it off.
  • Halted: the Zap run was stopped on purpose by the Zap. Unlike Errored, if a Zap halts multiple times, Zapier will not automatically turn it off.

This trigger is needed… I have hundreds of zaps and many of them are time sensitive.  Knowing of any delays is important
