Question

How do I pull and attachment from Smartsheet and place it in Dropbox?

When a new smartsheet row is created (an attachment is auto-generated for that row)
Find the attachments in that new row.

Then create a new folder in Dropbox with a folder name pulled from a value in the row (column name Report Number - Data sample  “NCR-0015”.  So folder in Dropbox would be /NCR-0014

Then copy the attachment from the new smartsheet row to the newly created dropbox folder
<<<<notes>>>>
I have made “most” of it work - but if I start with “New Attachment” trigger - I do not get access to the row data.   If I start with “new row” trigger - I can’t find the file and/or send it to Dropbox.

Hi @hawesome1

Add this Zap step: Smartsheet - Find Attachment

Description: Find an attachment by row ID.

Perfect- I was getting hung up (on that path) identifying the correct Row_ID.
I tried the variable that was the actual Row ID (shown in row Properties on the smartsheet).

I will get another run and send a better description and failure point.

Hi @hawesome1,

Thanks for the update on your progress with the Row ID issue in Smartsheet. It's great that you're digging in and gathering more info. As you continue, ensure the Row ID is correctly mapped and used throughout your Zap, check for duplicates or inconsistencies in your sheet, and verify that field mapping aligns with the intended context. Testing with a smaller dataset can help isolate the problem, and reviewing the Zap history will give you clues on where things may be breaking. Once you've pinpointed the issue, feel free to share. We're happy to help further.
