Simple enough question. I have a Microsoft Form because my org is migrating away from Google, but I can’t find Microsoft Forms in Zapier’s app list.
Is it there under a different name or something?

Hey there @headcleaner! Microsoft forms should fall under Microsoft Office 365, let me know if you still need help after this and I can help you explore other options!

Hi @headcleaner

Good question.

Unfortunately Microsoft Forms does not yet have a Zap app integration.

Microsoft Office 365 only shows the following Zaps, nothing about Forms. Please advise.

I appreciate your response, but I hope it’s mistaken!
Thank you both

@headcleaner

You can try this workaround.

Save your Forms to Excel: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/microsoft-forms-and-excel-workbooks-c61b5751-8128-4434-abb0-246f5e2a3b01

Then use Excel as the Zap trigger: https://zapier.com/apps/excel/help

@headcleaner Yes, I would try out Troy’s workaround for this one. If you are open to using other Forms that aren’t Google, you can also try Jotform or SurveyMonkey depending on the trigger and action you’d ideally like to utilize. These options both work well with Microsoft Excel.

Hey ya’ll! Wanted to hop in and confirm that Microsoft Forms isn’t a supported app at the moment. 😔 That said, I did add a vote for a Microsoft Forms integration to our internal app wishlist, @headcleaner

We'll be sure to let you know if and when this app is added to Zapier! In the meantime, if you're curious, here's a bit more on how new services typically get added to Zapier.

In the meantime, @Troy Tessalone’s offered up a good workaround:

Save your Forms to Excelhttps://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/microsoft-forms-and-excel-workbooks-c61b5751-8128-4434-abb0-246f5e2a3b01

Then use Excel as the Zap trigger: https://zapier.com/apps/excel/help

and @chanelle had some extra insight to share on alternative apps to consider:

If you are open to using other Forms that aren’t Google, you can also try Jotform or SurveyMonkey depending on the trigger and action you’d ideally like to utilize. These options both work well with Microsoft Excel.

Sorry to not have better news here but appreciate the support and for using the Zapier community! 🧡

(Please ignore my previous replies.)

For those reading this from Google, what you need to do is open Excel (on the web) and go to Insert > Forms. From here, MS Forms will open up and you can craft your form. Once this is done, responses will be saved to the same XLS à-la Google Forms instead of Forms creating a fresh XLS every time you ask to see the results.
This difference allows Zapier to intercept the same file reliably and gauge new results.
Your Microsoft Account will need to be “Office 365/OneDrive for School/Business”.

Microsoft could not have made this any more complicated if they were trying!
Thanks all for the assistance. This would make a good KB article.
