Hi everyone,

I saw this question asked previously but there was no response.

I'm having trouble linking a Zap to the Project field on a Xero invoice. I need every invoice we create through Zapier to be assigned to a specific project in Xero. As you can see in the screenshot below I have put VCE Exam Seminar in the tracking field, but the project field is still empty when mapped to Xero.

Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @ArtEdVic

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode so we can see the app/event and the field types/descriptions.

Hi @Troy Tessalone

Thank you for you help. I am new to this system and still trying to get my head around it. Please see how in ‘Tracking’ I have put VCE Exam Seminar. I want that to show in the ‘Project’ field when it maps across to Xero. Have I done that correctly or is there another field I should be working with.

@ArtEdVic

Screenshots of the Xero Zap Action does not show the mentioned field and how it is configured with the mentioned value.

Apologies the screenshot may not have attached properly. I currently have Tracking as VCE Exam Seminar and I want it to appear in the project field. How can I make sure this is mapped correctly.

@ArtEdVic

The Tracking field expects key/value pairs.

Left side is the “key”.

Right side is the “value”.

Your current configuration has a “key” of ‘VC Exam Seminar’ but no “value” set.

So would my Key be ‘Project’ (as the table in Xero outlines) and my value be VCE Exam Seminar? Do I need to insert data from eventbrite or can I just type ‘VCE Exam Seminar as my value’?

@ArtEdVic

Try this...

Left: Project

Right: VC Exam Seminar

Hi there, @ArtEdVic 👋

How did you get on with this? Did entering “Project” as the key on the left and “VC Exam Seminar” on the right work as hoped?
