How do I limit a Shopify-Gmail Zap to only fire once per new customers in Shopify?

Hi,

I’m trying to create a Zap between Shopify & Gmail where an automatic email is sent to us if a customer creates an account on Shopify however has not made a purchase after 7 days.

Issue is, we’re receiving multiple emails for the same customer account.

Is there a way to limit this Zap to only fire once per customer?

Thanks

These are the only steps in the Zap.

Hi @HelloEverybody

Good question.

You need to add another step to the Zap to Find the Shopify Customer again to get the current data about the Customer before checking against the Filter conditions.

We’d need to see detailed screenshots with how your Gmail Zap step is configured to advise more.

Hi @Troy Tessalone

I have now added a Find Shopify Customer step. This is after the New Customer created and BEFORE any filter steps.

Gmail is set up as follows:

The Shopify Find Customer step should come after the Delay step.

You want to check for the new data from the Customer AFTER the Delay.

Make sure your Filter step checks against the data returned from Shopify Customer Step (3).

Looks like you may have a static value set for the TO email in the Gmail step.

Make sure to map the dynamic Customer Email variable from the one of the Shopify Customer steps.
