OneNote has keyboard shortcuts to insert date and time. These do not include the day of the week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc.).

Is it possible to create a zap to do this that’s triggered by a new keyboard shortcut or modify the format of date to include the day of week.

Thanks.

Hi @SamStam

Review the available OneNote Zap app triggers/actions: https://zapier.com/apps/onenote/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Possibly use a Formatter > Date & Time > Format step: https://zapier.com/apps/formatter/help

Sorry for the late reply.

To get the current date inserted at the current insertion point in a given note in OneNote you can press Alt+Shift+D. The only trigger I found in Zapier is New Note in Section. That won’t work for my use case. Is there a way I can write my own trigger that will override Alt+Shift+D or use a new keyboard combination?

Thanks

@SamStam

Did you try adding this step in your Zap?

Possibly use a Formatter > Date & Time > Format step: https://zapier.com/apps/formatter/help

My problem is not how to format the date in Zapier. My problem is how to trigger the zap in OneNote.

Yes. I found that page. The only trigger for OneNote is New Note in Section. I need my code to be triggered by a keyboard shortcut.

@SamStam

I don’t think that’s going to be possible

You would have to explore whether OneNote supports custom shortcuts that can trigger a webhook.

Zap trigger: Webhook - Catch Hook

Thanks. I’ll check out webhook.
