Been struggling with this one…

I have an excel file that is generated multiple times a day into a Google Drive.

I want to pick that up and load all rows into a Zapier Table.  Seems like it should be easy, but I am struggling.

Anyone have tips?

Hi @Raleigh Fingers,

Welcome to the Community.

To automate data transfer from a Google Drive Excel file to Zapier Tables, start by creating a Zap. Set Google Drive as the trigger with the "New File in Folder" event and connect your account. For the action, choose Google Sheets, select "Create Spreadsheet Row(s)," and map the columns to the data from your Excel file. After testing, turn on the Zap to ensure data is automatically added to Google Sheets. Since Zapier lacks direct integration with Zapier Tables, use Google Sheets as an intermediary, then manually import the data into Zapier Tables.

Thanks for the reply… I had come up with a different way and will come back to that.  But when I try to follow what you provided, I feel like there is a missing step. I don’t see any way to get the rows out of the new file without adding some other step in there?

What I did try and mostly got working was to do this:

1) New File in Folder

2) File Existing Google Sheet

3) Replace Google Sheet (Replace #2 with #1)
4) Extract Google Sheet Rows

5) Loop through records

6) Add to Zapier Table

It WAS working quite well, and it still does in test mode.  But when I run for real with a file that arrives, it is dropping columns.  So, #1 goes through column AU, but by the time #3 happens, it only processes through column AK, so my loop fails.

Thoughts?  Different approaches?

Hi @Raleigh Fingers,

I’m so sorry for the delayed reply here.

Before we dig deeper into this, would you mind sharing a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured? Also, please share a screenshot of the “CONFIGURE” section of your action steps that shows all of its fields

Please don't include personal information in the screenshot, or be sure blur out any personal information.

Thanks!
