I’ve literally spent over 5 hours trying to get my first ZAP to work and I’m exhausted.

I built a simple audio to text app on Glide and want to transfer the text into an Airtable database.

I’ve used all the help content on Zapier and on Airtable and on ChatGPT too.

Everything transfers perfectly from the trigger, I can see in the data in Zapier that the data out includes the transcription.  The problem is I can’t get Airtable to recognise the content field.  It literally states “transcription” in the content field, but not the actual transcription.

I’m so tired and frustrated, can anyone help?

Hi @CMacLMG

Help us have more info by posting screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode so we can see the field mappings as well as the DATA OUT returned from the Zap trigger step that you are trying to use.

Y’know I’ve tried Zapier on and off for quite a while now and I’ve still never managed to get one working. I must be terrible so you’re not alone.

If you have an IOS phone and you’re familiar with Shortcuts then you can often use that with airtable. I know it’s also compatible with Glide. It might make more sense if you’re recording the audio off a phone as well?

Hi @CMacLMG,

Before we dig deeper into this, would you mind sharing a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured? Also, please share a screenshot of the “CONFIGURE” section of the action step that shows all of its fields.

Please don't include personal information in the screenshot, or be sure blur out any personal information.

Thanks!
