How do I format Google Drive links from Notion to direct download links for Buffer in Zapier?

Hi,

I’m using zapier to automatically send content to my scheduling software (Buffer) when I switch the status on a content item in Notion to ‘schedule’.

Zapier takes the g drive link to a video from a property field in Notion and provides that as media for the scheduling in Buffer.

However, this only works if I generate a direct download link for google drive, using a tool like www.drivelink.eu.org. Standard google drive links don’t allow Buffer to find the media.

I would like to format the g drive link from Notion to the direct link format automatically, and then send that to Buffer, so I don’t have to manually do it.

Is there a way to do this within zapier?

Hi there @scalarwave,

If the Google Drive link is formatted like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/[FILE ID]/. You can use Formatter by Zapier - Replace to achieve this. Here’s how:
