Question

How do I filter out junk emails?

I’m trying to make a zap that triggers when a new outlook email is received into a shared mailbox. The zap filters out any email that outlook sends to the junk folder, then send any other email to a third party.

The zap is built but I’m having trouble with the filtering. I can’t seem to filter out any email that outlook automatically sends to the junk folder. The filter is already set to stop “noreply” emails and some other things but it would be great if you could just set it to not accept any “junk” email.

Any thoughts?

Hi @BounceCo

Help us have more info by posting screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible, especially for the Filter step.

Hi @Troy Tessalone ,

Thanks so much for the reply. Here are some screenshots showing the Zap set up and the filter details.

@BounceCo

Is there a data point returned from the Zap trigger step by Outlook that indicates the Folders an email is part of?

If yes, then use that as a filter condition.

As far as I can see there isn’t. So I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to do this.
