How do I ensure Zapier uses the right Wix form data in connected automation?

I have a wix automation that triggers when a specific form is submitted.  Its action is the Zapier connection.

I have a zap that connects to the correct automation in wix, but when testing, the records are generic and don’t match the selected form.

How do I make sure it is connecting to the correct form?

Thank you!

Hi @twetzel2k

After configuring the Zap trigger step, try testing the Wix Form, then try to pull thru fresh examples in the Zap trigger step using the button [Find New Records]: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496310366093-Change-the-test-record-in-your-Zap-trigger

Unfortunately that doesn’t work.  I have gone over to my wix form and filled it in a couple of times and then retested in zap… No luck.

Try this workaround.

Zap trigger: Webhook - Catch Hook

This will generate a unique URL to configure in your Wix Automation, per this guide from Wix: https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-automations-sending-data-via-webhook

OK, i have set that to be webhook.  What do I put into the Target URL and do I change the zap at all?  Right now the zap is reading  WIX custom Triggers.

Use this as the Zap trigger: Webhook - Catch Hook

Configure the generated webhook URL in Wix.

Then test and pull thru the test data from Wix to configure your Zap action steps.
