How do I ensure a Mailchimp campaign triggered by a Stripe payment in Zapier is sent only once?

Does anyone know if I create a zap that is triggered by a Stripe payment being made, which then creates a subscriber in Mailchimp and then sends out a Mailchimp campaign, if a regular campaign can only be sent out once, or if it will continue to be sent out individually for every new subscriber that is added?

Is there a specific type of Mailchimp campaign I should use if the regular campaigns don’t work for this?

Good question.

In Mailchimp you’ll need to create a Customer Journey that is triggered by a Tag.

 

Zap Steps

  1. Trigger: Stripe - Checkout Session Completed
  2. Action: Mailchimp - Add/Update Subscriber
    1. Add a Tag
      1. Same tag that you configured to trigger the Mailchimp Customer Journey
