I’m subscribed to a calendar from my school, and i would like to duplicate the events from it to a different google calendar, so I can edit events. I dont need to attend every event, so its annoying to see all the extraneous events cluttering up my calendar.

I’ve done some digging, and can’t seem to find a way to duplicate already existing events, only new events as they are created on the source calendar. Since all the events are already created, they are not being duplicated.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @GeorgeB 👋

Sorry to see no one has hopped in here sooner. You’re right, Zaps usually work for new information not past information. But, we do have a Transfer feature that you could potentially explore for something like this.

For the Zap itself you’d want to have the following:

  1. Trigger: New or Updated Event (Google Calendar) looks at events on the school calendar.
  2. Action: Create Detailed Event (Google Calendar) adds the event to your personal calendar.

The Transfer screen lets you filter records before sending them to the Zap, so from there you can filter out the events you don’t want. You can learn more about Transfer here: Transfer existing data using a Zap

If you give that a try and get stuck, or you found a different solution in the meantime let us know. Want to make sure you’re all set! 🙂
