Hi Community,

I have this simple request.

When a user choose to create a ticket,

selects an Issue type in Jira,

Select few ‘multi select options’ from drop down menu,

I would like to create create google sheets in a drive fodler.

Like “option1 selected” → create sheet1 from a template1 in google drive folder.

Like “option2 selected” → create sheet2 from a template2 in google drive folder.

Any ideas for me please.

Hi @sriniv

Zap steps...

Action: Paths

Action: GDrive - Copy File

Hi @sriniv👋

How did you get on with Troy’s suggestion of using Paths and a Copy File (Google Drive) action for this?

Want to ensure you’re all set here so please let us know if you’re in need of any further help at all. 🙂

Am still exploring these recommendations. I will update

Hi @sriniv,

Please keep us in the loop for this one. So we can troubleshoot further if needed. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you.

Hi @JammerS , Can I get some help to start with ?  I know the process and sequene, need some info in app configuration.

Hi @sriniv,

You can start by automating this in Zapier by creating two Zaps. The first Zap triggers when a new Jira issue is made, then uses Formatter by Zapier to split the multi-select options field. You can then create multiple paths using Zapier Paths for each option (for example, Option1, Option2). Each path checks if the split text contains the desired option and, based on this, creates a new row in the corresponding Google Sheet template. This setup requires both the Formatter and Zapier Paths apps, and each path counts toward your task usage.

We hope that this helps you jump-start your Zap. Let us know if you have any questions.
