Question

How do I create a Zap to fill Excel template labels with information from Google Sheets?

I am trying to have a zap similar to creating a Google docs document from a template, with the curly brackets to indicate labels to fill information into. However, the template I have is an excel file, and I was wondering if that is possible to do with Zapier somehow.

Essentially an employee enters information into a Google Form, the google form is connected to Google Sheet #1, which uses formulas to output Pricing for example. I want to have in my Google Sheet #2(pictured below) to have labels like {{Price1}}, {{Price 2}} on it which takes it from Google Sheet #1 to  fill in. I know google docs has this action, but my template below works best in Sheets.

Hi @Grace Frau

Good question.

GSheets have to be configured a specific way to be used in Zaps: https://zapier.com/apps/google-sheets/help

What you are trying to do would likely involve an advanced approach using a fair amount of logic and the GSheets API: https://developers.google.com/sheets/api/guides/concepts
