Hey there! I’m trying to work out whether what I can achieve is possible and hoping some community experts can help me understand feasibility, complications etc. Here’s the context:

I work for a company with an app. This app uses Stripe, so our customer data sits within Stripe.

This same company has a Shopify store for selling merch. Customer data is created in Shopify when someone purchases an item from the store.

We’ve been discussing exclusive pricing for the members using our app. In theory, I’d like to create a new customer profile in Shopify every time we get a new app sign up. Their profile would then be tagged with something such as ‘MEMBER’, and I’ll use a Shopify app to automate the discount based on the tag.

So my question is..

Can I use Zapier to connect customer data in Stripe with Shopify so that Shopify creates a new customer profile when one is made in Stripe (as well as adding a tag)?

Thanks for any help in advice, really genuinely appreciate it.

Hi @JChamms

Try these Zap steps:

  1. Trigger: Stripe - New Customer
  2. Action: Filter
    1. Add a Filter step if you need the data to match conditions before continuing
  3. Action: Shopify - Create Customer
