I currently have an automated Hubspot workflow (within HB) that will create an Asana ticket when moved to X pipeline. These tickets are submitted by our customers or service team assisting clients with troubleshooting issues. The tickets need to be escalated to our engineering team who work out of Asana. Currently, the feed is one direction and I need Zappier to help me bridge the discussion had within Asana and post that to the associated Hubspot ticket. 

How do I add comments made in Asana to Hubspot?

 

I need to understand how Hubspot and Asana look up their ticket IDs and what is needed to create a new Note in Hubspot.  Is what I’m looking to do achievable using the automated Hubspot workflow or do I need to tell Zappier to create the tickets in order to accomplish what I need?

Ideally, when the HubSpot ticket is created, then Asana Task ID is set in a property on the HubSpot Ticket.

Then you can use this Zap action: HubSpot - Find Ticket

That will return the HubSpot Ticket ID to use.

 

 


I don’t believe you are able to set the Asana Task ID a property on the HubSpot Ticket. If so, could you please share the instructions? 

 

What’s the recommended property that I use to Find the Hubspot ticket? I have Ticket ID selected, what alternatives do you recommend?

Honestly, no the answers I’ve received are vague and not helpful in guiding me. I think there’s also a lack of understanding of the limitations of each app (in this case Hubspot and Asana) which makes the middle man Zapier limited to very, very basic functions. 

If I could get access to a screenshare or call with someone to help me understand how you recommend accomplishing what I need that’d be great!
