Question

How do I create a custom field in HelpScout to display the specific offer a customer has purchased in Kajabi?

Has anyone successfully integrated HelpScout with Kajabi? Additionally, I am curious to know if it is possible to create a custom field or property in HelpScout to display the specific offer a customer has purchased in Kajabi.

Hi @smalltown88

Good question.

Check out the available Zap triggers/actions for each app:

Help Scout: https://zapier.com/apps/help-scout/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Kajabi: https://zapier.com/apps/kajabi/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Thanks Troy.   I have looked at this and tried it etc… But I am not understanding it properly as it does not work. Hiring someone to do this could be the option.

I haven’t personally set-up Kajabi, but I would think thats possible. I have integrated HelpScout in the past and this seems like something we did, updating a field. The field applies to the inbox, so every message would have it populated.

@smalltown88

Can you provide screenshots with how each of your Zap steps are configured so we have context about what you are trying to do.

Also, please elaborate about what issues/errors you are encountering with configuring the Zap.

Hey there, @smalltown88! Thanks for reaching out in community!

It sounds like this should be possible though it would require some initial setup with Help Scout first. Here’s a link to Help Scout docs on setting up Customer Properties. The zap may look like:

  • Trigger - “New Purchase” Kajabi
  • Action - “Update Customer Properties” Help Scout

As Troy mentioned if you’d prefer not to fuss with setup either in Help Scout or your zap it might be worth looking into hiring an Expert to help. 🙂

Keep us posted how you’re getting along with this!

If it helps :

  1.  I have an ‘offer’ in Kajabi and say for this instance it is called ‘founder’ - Someone purchases that offer.   How do I relay that data to helpscout?  ( The data being that this person purchased ‘founder’.
  2. If that person cancels that offer say, 4 months down the line, how do I update this data again?

Further to this - Say for example this same person came through HS as a lead prior, will this update their profile to a paid customer?

and secondly, if this person was not a lead, how do I go about creating that customer when purchased?

Hope this makes sense…

HelpScout has these available Zap actions:

@smalltown88

We’d need to see detailed screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured in order for us to have enough context to review, thanks.

This is the problem from the start.   I am unsure how to setup the steps properly.

Losing the will to live with it now.  Very very confusing.

Thanks all for your help.  It’s all very confusing.  Ended up going with GetGist.   Zapier is not required.
