Hi, I am creating an event sign-up form on Zapier Interfaces, and this form is linked to a Zapier Table. I would like to cap the number of participants, so say once the number of sign ups reach 30, I want to close the form and send an email to the event organiser.

I am currently creating a Zap for this, and I am stuck at the step of counting the rows in the table. I have read the other relevant topics posted previously, and there has been suggestions that this could be done on Zapier Storage, but I would like to know if there are alternatives, and if not, how it should be done on Storage.

Thank you.

Hey @NSS_KM 👋

You could use the Increment Value action for Zapier Tables to update the value in specific field in a specific record in a table. Then, you could then have the Zap trigger when a new (form submission) record is added, update the current total in the other table by 1 and use a filter that checks to see if the total is less than 31

There aren’t any actions available for Zapier Interfaces that would allow you close an Interfaces form so you’d instead need to use an action to send yourself or the event organiser an notification (by email, txt etc.) to manually close the form. Which isn’t ideal, so it may be worth reaching out to our support team to put in a new feature request for the ability to close Interfaces forms automatically. You can do that here: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

Hope that helps to get you pointed in the right direction. If you run into any issues or have further questions just let us know!

Hi @NSS_KM

Zap action: Storage - Increment Value

Hi @NSS_KM!

Just popping by to see how are things going on this. Were you able to get this solved by using Zapier Tables or Storage? Or did you find an alternative solution?

Eager to ensure you’re all set here so please keep us updated on how you’re getting on! 🙂
