I am having trouble copying the information (tracking number) from a single cell in Google Sheets, to add into the body of an automated email that is sent as follow up. This email should be sent to the specific email that can be found in the same row as the corresponding tracking number. There are separate columns for emails and tracking numbers.

The spreadsheet is updated in 2 ways:

1: the email (and other info) is collected when someone fills out a Google Form. this data is then added to the spreadsheet as a new row.

2: a tracking number is added to the sheet manually when the order is shipped.

currently the flow I am using is shown below ni screenshots:

I only want emails sent to individuals, not all emails in the column.

I have successfully set up an auto email response when the Google Form is filled using 2 steps (pictured below with screenshots) and am wondering I am missing a way to add another step or 2 to this zap to accomplish my goal.

Forgive my ignorance as I am new to the platform. I appreciate any and all help!

Hi @tylertylertyler

You’ll want to add a Filter as Zap step 2 to make sure the row has cell values for the desired columns to use in the Zap action steps: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing the top 3 rows of your GSheet.

If there are multiple emails in 1 column and you want to send emails individually to each, then either:

Hey @Troy Tessalone Thank you for the direction. I have posted screen shots of the top 3 rows of my google sheet below

@tylertylertyler

This looks to be configured correctly, but we can’t see the other Zap step fields and how those are configured.

Have you tried turning the Zap ON and testing live?

Then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each Zap step to help you trace the data flow between steps to troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Hey @tylertylertyler 👋

Just wanted to check in to see how things are going on this. Were you since able to get things sorted?

If so, we’d love it if you could share the solution you implemented - this would be super helpful to others in the Community! 🙏

And if not, happy to lend a hand. Just send over some screenshots showing the Data In and Data Out of a recent Zap run so we can get a better idea of what might be causing some trouble here.

Thanks, I look forward to your reply! 😁

@SamB no I couldnt figure it out and so started using another platform

Hi @tylertylertyler,

We apologize for any inconvenience. We understand that setting up a Zap is somehow difficult but if you don’t mind. We could help you troubleshoot to find out what is wrong with the setup.
