Hi, I am looking for the optimum combination of Apps to do the following:

New email comes into outlook, it gets converted to PDF (with the same look as if you just printed it from your screen, with header and footer and all details etc.), gets saved into OneDrive folder with our specific filing format (YEAR_MonthDate Name - Subject). Any ideas how i can achieve this goal?

ps: I would also want to document my emails that are sent out as well, is there a way to achieve that result as well (or possibly even in the same Zap)?

Hi @KLF

Good question.

FYI: Gmail has better trigger options (that include sent emails) than Outlook.

Yes, this is possible, as I’ve done a similar project for a client.

One such Zap app is PDF.co: https://zapier.com/apps/pdfco/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Thanks. I am using outlook unfortunately. I hires someone with Zapier but it didn't save key info like who sent to who, date, subject, formatting was off too. Could you do it with Microsoft small business outlook?

@KLF

Is the Email Body in HTML formater returned from the Outlook trigger step?

How would I know or find out? Is there something in the zaps which I could look at and tell you?

@KLF

Post screenshots of the DATA OUT from the Outlook Trigger step as it relates to the email body.

Look for HTML tags e.g. <br/> which is a line break, etc.,

Hi Troy, it looks like it is (see screenshots below)

@KLF

Yes, the email body content type is HTML.

Great, so this is possible to create?

If I am unable to do it myself (will try now), can I hire you as my expert?

Thanks so much for all the help so far!

As well, I want to create a filter that only certain email addresses will get save when those people email me, how do I tell the Zap to reference a spreadsheet?

Hi @KLF

Which spreadsheet app are you using? (e.g. Gmail, Excel, etc.)

a Google Sheet

@KLF

Try these Zap action steps:

GSheets Zap available triggers/actions: https://zapier.com/apps/google-sheets/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Help articles to reference for using GSheets in Zaps: https://zapier.com/apps/google-sheets/help
