Hey;

I’m trying to automate the following:

I have a PDF that I need to add a custom watermark to, in form of a text.
The text will be the name of the person receiving the file.

Typically, I’ll have a list of approx. 20 people, meaning I’d need 20 PDFs with the watermark.

I’m trying to understand how to automate this and currently have the following questions:

  • Since the file is always the same, is there any way to upload that as a static resource?
  • What would be the trigger to kick this off? This is nothing that needs to run on a daily basis but more on the click of a button (that kicks of the generation of the PDFs based on a list of names)
    So it’d need to loop through the list of names and then generate a PDF for each and store it somewhere

My though is the following:

  1. Someone clicks a button or something somewhere which will trigger the Zap
  2. The zap gets the PDF file (where would I host that ideally to retreive it?) and the list of names
  3. The zap loops through the list of names and generates a PDF for each and stores that somewhere.

IAny thoughts, help, recommendations on how I can do that with Zapier would help me a lot!

Thanks,

Norizinus

Hi @Norizinus

Where are you managing the list of names? (e.g. Airtable, GSheets, some other app)
