Question

How do I automate monthly email reports with combined due dates from two Notion databases?

Hi there,

I'm hoping you can help me automate a process in Notion.

Currently, I have two separate databases:

  • One tracks company names, due dates for bookkeepers and accountants, and filing due dates.
  • Another tracks insurance due dates.

I'd like to set up an automated system that sends me an email report at the beginning of each month. This report should contain a list of all upcoming due dates for that month, pulling data from both of my databases.

Is there a way to achieve this automation?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Hi @projectsfounthill

The short answer is no you cannot. The long answer answer is you can do that with a few automations, but you will need to save the data in something like Airtable or Google Sheets.

How can I do this using Google sheets?

Basically you will need 2 automations:

Automation 1: Whenever a new record is created in Notion, create the same record in Google Sheets

Automation 2: Triggers on schedule, uses the Month to look up for rows in Google Sheet (max 500 rows), then use those rows to send the email any way you like
