How do I automate Microsoft Outlook updates to show in Microsoft Teams via Zap?

Hello

I’m looking for an automation flow between Outlook and Teams. The case: we have 35 employees who use Outlook and Teams. We’re looking into the matter if it’s possible to automate the process of people who work from home, have a holiday or sickness and display a message in Teams.

So ideally we should have a message in Teams saying
Homework
Name person, Name person, name person

Holiday
Name person, name Person, Name person

Sick
Name person

Anybody experience with this kind of automation via Zapier?

Hello @Expliciet

Yes, we can do that, we can use Teams API to fetch person's status at the start of the day. then we can push that status in Teams to specific channel or teams. This can be done easily using zapier.

Thanks & Regards

Hi @Expliciet,

I’m jumping in to see if I can help!

Here’s how I see the Zap you have in mind:

  1. Trigger: Microsoft Outlook - Calendar Event Start OR New Calendar Event OR New Email *This could be an Outlook calendar event or an email notification indicating the status of an employee.
  2. Action: Microsoft Teams - Send Channel Message

Hopefully, this helps!
