I am working on automating tasks that need to be created from sponsorship contracts into Asana, but can’t figure out how to create tasks from the bullet points in the Google Doc using Zapier. Is there a way to do this?

Hi @krimer

Welcome to the community. You can set up your action to Asana. For the "Name" field, you can use the "Name" field from the Google Docs trigger. For the "Notes" field, you can use the "Content" field from the Google Docs trigger. This will include the bullet points from your Google Docs document in the Asana task. I hope this helps you with your Zap. Let us know if you have further questions.

Is there a way I can have the bullet points be created as their own tasks?

Hi there @krimer,

I believe it’s not possible to create tasks in Asana for each bullet points in Google Docs since the trigger is not parsed correctly. Here’s how it looks in the trigger:

Here’s how it looks when mapping it to the subsequent step:

You might need to use a document parser for you to be able to create a task in Asana for each bullet points. You can explore our top Documents apps here: https://zapier.com/apps/categories/documents

Hopefully, this helps.
