How do I attach Xero bill "Awaiting Approval" attachments to automated emails?

Hello,

 

I am setting up an automation to send emails when a bill is added to xero and marked as “Awaiting Approval”.

 

All bills get a copy of the bill attached to Xero. I would like to add the attachment to the email - how do I get that attachment? I have only been able to attach the xero bill itself.

Just stopping by here to share that the feature request has been implemented. Any attached files will now show up in the fields output by the New Bill trigger. 🎉

To access this new feature please ensure your Zap is running the latest version of the Xero app

yes we can do that we will intergrate the zap and xero and automate procee and workflow according to your scope of work, yon can share the whole scope of work

Hi there @mari,

I did some digging into this, and it seems like the “New Bill” trigger for Xero isn’t able to return the attachments. However, we have an existing feature request for this exact functionality.

I have added you to the open feature request. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track interest in this feature being implemented
  • Allows us to notify you via email if this feature becomes available in the future

While I don't have an ETA on when this feature might be implemented, we will notify you via email if it is!
