I am trying to setup a zap to send an email via Gmail to a user after they complete an inquiry form in our  Squarespace website. The email would include an attached file. I have been able to do this in other Squarespace websites, but I am having trouble now.

I am trying to attach a file, but in the ‘Attachements’ box I am only able to see options from the trigger field ‘New Form Submission’. I have looked in the Community and haven’t been able to find another example of this. Thanks!

Hi @Sara_F

Where is the file hosted that you are trying to send as part of the attachment? (e.g. GDrive)

If you need more help, post screenshots with how your steps are outlined and configured.

HI Troy,

The PDF file is hosted in Squarespace. That is how I’ve done it with other websites, but this website is not providing a URL link. (See attached screenshot.)

Perhaps I should try adding it directly from GDrive? I didn’t even know that was a possibility! Is there a place in Zapier Help that would explain how to do that? I don’t see anything in the link you shared.

Hi @Sara_F

Yes, you can host the file on GDrive.

Make sure to set the file sharing preferences to public.

Then use the direct download link for the file.

Thanks, Troy! I added the document to DropBox and was able to share it as an attachment. Unfortunately, I’m now having issues with the email being sent at all. An email is supposed to be sent after the trigger of a user completing a form on our website. When the Zap is in Edit Mode and I test it, the email comes through fine. However, when I fill out the form on the website, no email is received.

Also, search the Zapier Community for related topics.

From experience, Squarespace Zap triggers can be a bit finicky.
