Question

How do I add my affiliate ID automatically to a blog RSS?

Hi all,

I’m extreeemely new to Zapier and would like to do the following.

I’m an affiliate marketer.   Many of the affiliates I promote will have a blog, like https://www.leadpages.com/blog .

I would like to repost their blog via RSS to my WP site (easy) but I’d like to tweakize that RSS so my affiliate ID is somehow embedded so I get credit should someone buy.

Thus, let’s say that I repost

https://www.leadpages.com/blog/fitness-landing-page-examples

I’d like for my own ID to be incorporated into the RSS (thus creating a second RSS I suppose?).

I can do multizaps if needed.   Thank you!

Welcome to the Community @Druss! 😁

It sounds like you wanting to edit the original RSS feed on the affiliate’s website? If so, I don’t think that’s going to be possible.

And if you set up a second RSS feed is that to provide the affiliates with a list of posts that you’ve reposted?

It might be better to add affiliate referral links that contain your affiliate ID to the post you’re re-sharing on your website that, when clicked will take the user through to the relevant page on the affiliate’s website. I’m thinking that should allow them to identify the purchase as having come via your website.

Do you think that approach could work, or am I misunderstanding the goal here?
