  • How can I update Asana tasks with dropdown list changes from Monday.com using Zapier?

Hi! 

I have a zap that creates an Asana task when a new item is created in Monday.com - working. 

 

I then need a zap that updates the Asana task when any column in Monday.com is changed. There’s a problem with dropdown lists (which are 90% all of the field types I’m looking to zap here). So considering a look up table to convert dropdown choice ID’s in Monday.com to Asana. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated! 

 

But, the bigger question - Am I going wrong with my order (see attached). The fields in Asana I want to update no longer appear in the options on the right?

Make sure to review the field description.

The Task field expect the Task ID from a previous step.

 

The custom value I’m picking there is the same field being searched in step 3 to find the task in Asana. Would you say that’s correct?

The Task field expects the Task ID not the Task Name.
