I am creating a ZAP that from an email inserts a new asana task in a section of a project, I would like this task to be created only when there is no incomplete duplicate. (Currently the search is done between both completed and incomplete).

You may have to explore using the Asana API: https://developers.asana.com/reference/searchtasksforworkspace

You can use the AI assist in this Zap action: Asana - App Extensions
